If Microsoft’s Windows Phone 7 didn’t impress me, one of the games designed for this mobile OS sure did. Need For Speed Undercover, one of the hottest mobile racing games, was specially designed for Windows Phone 7. Which means bad news for all the Windows Mobile users. I’m sorry guys, guess you have to get your hands on a Windows Phone 7 to enjoy this game.

Need For Speed Undercover is more than just a racing game. One of it’s most important features is that you can’t get bored of it. Start your own racing career, participate in tournaments, win money so you can acquire more powerful cars, unlock tracks and many more. But that’s not what the fun resumes to.

In Need For Speed Undercover you can connect to online leaderboard, compare your experience as a driver with other online users and even with your friends. This game will occupy 150Mb of your phone’s space. EA Games have always put a lot of effort into designing the most astonishing games. I’m sure the used internal space and resources will compensate with a truely unique racing experience at a stunning resolution of 800×480.

I sure wish I could get my hands on a Windows Phone 7 and try this game by myself. Untill then, here’s where you can find more infos about Need For Speed Undercover and if you own a Windows Phone 7, even download it: More Infos.

Fruit Ninja for Android

Fruit Ninja, a very popular iPhone game has now entered the Android Market, with a game version that is just as amazing as the iPhone version. Fruit Ninja is a juicy action with squishy, splatty and satisfying fruit carnage. Ninja Sensei, your master, will accompany you on your journey and always help you with wise words and funny fruit ninja tricks. The 3D graphics are completely astonishing, with fruit splattering their juices gruesomely across the background. This is one of the most fun Android games I’ve ever played!

In my opinion the developers should consider making this game compatible to other platforms as well. I bet Windows Mobile users would love to get access to Fruit Ninja.

And here’s the best thing about this game: it’s almost free. You just have to pay 99 US cents and then you can download Fruit Ninja directly from the Android Market.

To put in other words: you pay $18.95  and get not just one single game, but a pack of card games for Windows Mobile. In addition you will receive a 2 year subscription to all available game updates.

Note that Solitaire City is compatible to all touch screen Windows

Mobile devices, including phones with VGA or WVGA display.

Also if you’re not quite sure if the game pack is worth the money, you can test out the one month trial.

I think Resco Sudoku Touch fits best to those of you who spend lots of time playing sudoku. In comparison to Simply Sudoku, the sudoku game developed by Resco can be considered in a way the advanced version of the game.

Not only does it support Windows Mobile 5, but it is compatible to about any Windows Mobile OS.

Instead of describing the game from my present experience, I’d like to quote Shaun McGill who already formulated my idea prefect:

“Sudoku Touch is simple to set up, a pleasure to use and the iPhone style interface has been implemented to perfection. For a moment there, I forgot I was playing it on a Windows Mobile device.”

Resco Sudoku Touch is indeed a pleasant experience, however you have to keep in mind this: great experience demands a great price. The one time fee for this game is $19.95.

Note that Resco Sudoku Touch is also entirely compatible and runs in full screen mode on WVGA phones.

Ferrari GT HD for Windows Mobile

Driving 8 powerful Ferrari models on tracks from 4 different cities and this with 3D graphics. Playing Ferrari GT HD really makes me wonder, how long will it take for smartphones to become as powerful as desktop PC’s.

I’ve always had the reflex of stepping away from racing games on phones, since the display is so small and usually the joystick or the keys (they can never be bigger than few milimeters) you press get so uncomfortable when it comes to handling a virtual car. But Ferrari GT HD Evolution… I have to say that Gameloft did a very good job on this game.

There’s been done some more research and testing on this game. On Youtube I bumped over some films that can help you get a quick view at the game’s graphic.

We’ve read on the producers page that Ferrari GT HD Evolution is compatible to HTC P3600 / P3650 / P4550 / P5500 / P6500. But after a few tests we can tell that it works perfectly fine on never HTC models as long as they feature a Windows Mobile 6, 6.1 and a touch display. And even though Ferrari GT HD was initially designed for QVGA phones we could get it to work on WVGA phones, such as HTC HD 2, too.
